the woman with the disfigured face
The story goes that a beautiful woman married a samurai who went to war shortly after the wedding, causing the woman to be unfaithful to him with many men.
When one day her husband returned from the war and found her with another man, whom he killed instantly.
Overcome by anger, he cut the woman's mouth, causing her death.
After her death,she walks the streets and covering his face with a mask, asking if she is beautiful.
Upon receiving a positive response, he shows his ghostly and disfigured face
and if the answer is negative, he proceeds to take out some scissors and kill the person.
